Under recently signed federal legislation, Indian Motorcycle customers may be eligible to deduct up to $10,000 per year on interest paid on loans for new vehicles purchased in 2025 provided these units are used personally and assembled in the U.S. This deduction is available to both eligible itemizers and standard deduction filers for tax years 2025 through 2028.
All Indian Motorcycle units sold in the U.S. are assembled in the U.S. and therefore qualify for this tax deduction should the customer meet the eligibility requirements under the new law.

New Vehicle Loan Interest Tax Deduction: Up to $10,000 of interest paid on qualifying motorcycle loans is tax deductible assuming all vehicle and customer qualifications are met.
Timing -
• Vehicle must be financed with a new loan contracted on or after January 1st , 2025, through December 31st, 2028.
• Covers tax years 2025, 2026, 2027 and 2028.
• This deduction is not a rebate at the time of financing.
• Eligible customers need to claim the deduction when they file their tax return.
Consumer Eligibility -
• Applies to both itemizers and standard deduction filers.
• The benefit begins to phase out for taxpayers whose modified adjusted gross income exceeds $100,000 for individuals and $200,000 for those filing jointly.
